Kids Weaving Workshop

$50.00

Young makers are invited to explore the art of weaving in this hands-on textile workshop designed for 1st–5th graders. Taking place Saturday afternoons from 2–4 PM at the Grows As It Goes studio, this creative class introduces children to the foundations of weaving and textile creation through playful experimentation and thoughtful design.

Using a mix of colorful yarns, recycled fabrics, threads, ribbons, and unexpected materials like soft plastics, students will create one-of-a-kind woven artworks filled with texture, pattern, and personality. Along the way, we’ll discuss the rich history of weaving across cultures and how textiles have been used for storytelling, clothing, and art throughout time.

This workshop encourages creativity, fine motor skills, problem solving, and self-expression in a relaxed and inspiring studio environment. Each child will leave with their own finished weaving project and a deeper appreciation for handmade art and design.
