ABOUT

Grows As It Goes was born out of personal frustration: It was hard to find sustainable products that still look cool. That’s why the products we carry are hip without the hippie aesthetic. Not that there’s anything wrong with crunchy vibes — there isn’t! — but we wanted those of us with rock and roll hearts to be satisfied, too.

All of the items we carry are cool and edgy but are still doing good. The vendors we work with meet at least one of three criteria: They are women-owned, sustainable in some avenue, or are making social contributions, such as directly investing a percentage of profits into communities near and far. Some are doing all three. You can trust that the products we carry are thoughtfully curated and that our standards are high.

Our founder, Kaci Head, is a working apparel and accessories designer and graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology. Past projects have included working with curtain designers Erik Bruce and the legendary Mary Bright; textile and home decor powerhouses like Carnegie Fabric, Knoll, Edelman, and Calvin Klein; and installations for locations like the North Carolina Museum of Art. After a decade in New York City, Kaci returned to her family in Denver, Colorado, and launched a new collection of luxury leather accessories for women, men, and the home.

Grows As It Goes it the next logical evolution in Kaci’s journey as an artist, mother, certified yoga instructor, and human. Our name comes directly from the translation of the New Mexico state motto: We want to continue learning and leading a holistic life in as many areas as possible.
