This Is Just the Beginning: The Heart Behind Grows As It Goes

Hi, I’m Kaci—entrepreneur, designer, maker, mother, wife, gardener, yogi, and foodie. Like many of you, I wear a lot of hats and live a beautifully full (and sometimes chaotic) life. I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.

Most of my life, I’ve gone against the grain—blazing my own trail and choosing the road less traveled. I’ve chased dreams, followed curiosity, and leaned into the opportunities and adventures that life has offered. But it’s been a long and winding road. There have been many times I’ve felt unsure, even lost, wondering if I was doing life “the right way.” I still struggle to define exactly what I do—because I’ve intentionally created a life that weaves together all the pieces of who I am.

The process to get here? It wasn’t easy. At times, it felt like total chaos. But I’ve learned that growth doesn’t happen in the perfect or polished moments—it happens in the messy middle. In the hard stuff. In the process of becoming.

That belief is at the heart of Grows As It Goes. The name comes from a Latin poem about nature—specifically lightning—and how it gathers energy and grows as it moves. That’s exactly how I’ve lived my life. Step by step. Spark by spark.

And now, I’m proud to share this philosophy through Grows As It Goes: a lifestyle showroom and creative studio that reflects the values, practices, and passions that shape my world. This blog is a natural extension of that space—a digital home where I’ll share what I’ve learned (and am still learning) about living with intention, creativity, and care.

On the blog, you’ll find stories, tips, and resources on:

  • Gardening and seasonal living

  • Wellness, yoga, and mindful routines

  • Homeschooling and family life

  • Sustainable design and leather craftsmanship

  • Creative workshops, community events, and everyday inspiration

Whether you’re here for a recipe, a how-to, or a bit of encouragement on your own winding path—I hope you leave feeling grounded, inspired, and connected.

Thank you for being here. Let’s grow—together.

With gratitude,
Kaci
