Photography + Video Content - Internship

This opportunity is ideal for students interested in creative direction, visual storytelling, social media production, fashion photography, event documentation, and short-form video creation.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Assisting with studio photoshoots and content production

  • Editing short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and web

  • Behind-the-scenes documentation of workshops and events

  • Product photography for sustainable goods and fashion accessories

  • Helping develop creative campaigns for multiple brands

  • Lighting setup, styling assistance, and creative direction support

  • Learning real-world content strategy and brand storytelling

Ideal Candidates:

  • Photography, film, or media students

  • Strong visual eye and editing instincts

  • Comfortable with Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Canva, or CapCut

  • Interested in fashion, design, wellness, and creative entrepreneurship

Leather Accessories + Design & Production - Internship

This hands-on apprenticeship is for students interested in fashion design, product development, leather craftsmanship, sewing, and small-batch production.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Assisting with leather cutting and assembly

  • Sewing support for accessories and soft goods

  • Pattern development and prototyping

  • Material sourcing and studio organization

  • Product finishing and hardware installation

  • Learning production systems for independent design brands

  • Helping prepare products for retail and online sales

Ideal Candidates:

  • Fashion design or textile students

  • Basic sewing knowledge preferred

  • Interest in craftsmanship and sustainable production

  • Detail-oriented and eager to learn hands-on processes

The Creative Residency Program

A portfolio development initiative supporting emerging creatives.

We believe emerging artists deserve access to beautiful spaces, professional tools, and collaborative creative environments.

Portfolio Builder Sessions

Designated monthly studio days exclusively for RMCAD students.

  • Reduced-rate studio access

  • Shared creative production days

  • Open to photographers, stylists, models, designers, MUAs, filmmakers, and content creators

  • Collaborative environment instead of isolated rentals

“Shoot Now, Pay Forward Later” Model

A community-building concept:

Select students can use the studio free of charge for portfolio projects in exchange for:

  • Tagging GAIG in published work

  • Sharing final imagery for the studio portfolio/community wall

  • Participating in future creative showcases

  • Mentoring younger students later

Student Ambassador Program

In exchange for:

Part-Time Paid Position

Social Media + Studio Coordinator

This role combines creative marketing, studio operations, event support, and content production. Ideal for someone who thrives in a creative environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

Responsibilities:

  • Social media management across multiple brands

  • Graphic design for marketing materials and campaigns

  • Editing photo and video content

  • Website and blog updates

  • Newsletter creation and scheduling

  • Event planning and in-studio hosting

  • Community outreach to local businesses and creative partners

  • Assisting with workshops, open studios, and pop-up events

  • Organizing content calendars and production timelines

Preferred Skills:

  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or Premiere

  • Strong design sensibility

  • Writing and communication skills

  • Organized and self-motivated

  • Interest in fashion, sustainability, art, wellness, and community building
